Promotora Training

SISTERS’ Promotora training in the Mind Body Spirit curriculum will begin June 15 2007, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.  Women receive free education on a broad range of health issues topics that affect our community, in a confidential, supportive group setting.  They receive a stipend and a graduation celebration upon completion, along with a certificate confirming their new status as Promotoras de Salud.

Training in the Mi Vida, Su Vida curriculum – a shorter training focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention - will begin July 10, 2007. This training is for women that are at HIGH RISK due to poverty, domestic violence, sexual abuse or substance abuse issues in the past or present.
